Skördefest - täppor för nytta, nöje och nöd
Visit the Södertälje Festival at Torekällberget! On Saturday, August 29, we celebrate cultivation in and around the city – in history and now – about the food we have grown and how we have taken care of it. Hear horticulturist and agricultural historian Inger Olausson talk about the history of urban gardening, have your apple and pear trees identified by pomologist Mats Brokvist, and learn about the incredible potential of acorns with Under ekarna. Join a tour of our gardens and learn to make juice, jam, and dry fruits. In the square, there will be sales of locally grown produce, and there will also be allotment associations and the Södertälje Beekeepers Association present. Additionally, we will keep several museum environments open where, among other things, expensive recipes are cooked and porridge is made. Last but not least – see top-class puppet theater with Gustav Gälsing and folk music with Lästringe låtar inviting spontaneous jam sessions. So bring fruit and instruments, and we’ll see you at the harvest festival at Torekällberget!
