Kulturbiblioteket, located on the 2nd floor of Kulturhuset at Sergels torg, focuses on artistic subjects. It offers the best fiction including novels, short stories, essays, easy-to-read books, poetry, and drama. The collection features both contemporary and classic works across various genres. It also boasts carefully selected books and periodicals on literature, music, film, art, photography, architecture, fashion, design, and dance. The library has Stockholm's largest collection of music CDs and DVD films for home loan, as well as a large collection of sheet music and vinyl records. It is a cashless library, with most services being free. Paid services can be settled by card or Swish. The library also houses Serieteket, Sweden's leading special library for comics and graphic literature since 1996, offering a rich collection of comics and art books and a vibrant program of events. Visitors can borrow vinyl records, music CDs, and DVD films (including DVD players). The library provides free Wi-Fi and offers accessibility services for individuals with disabilities, including a hearing loop and accessible toilets. There are also two electric pianos available for use with personal headphones or borrowed ones. The library does not have dedicated study rooms but offers comfortable armchairs for reading. Printing services are available until June 30th, 2026, for black/white A4 at 3 SEK/sheet.
