Åbergs Museum
Åbergs Museum, founded by Lasse Åberg, is located in Bålsta, just outside Stockholm, and is a destination for the whole family. Opened in 2002 in a stylish old 19th-century barn, it houses a fantastic collection of comic-inspired art and original comics, one of the world's foremost antique Disney collections, and an exhibition with props, photos, and costumes from the Stig-Helmer films. The museum is suitable for children of all ages, offering indoor and outdoor play opportunities, including an art treasure hunt, a quiz in the art gallery, and the popular Trazan-kojan. Outside, there's the 'Banankontakt' playground, inspired by Trazan and Banarne. The museum also hosts birthday parties and school visits. It features original comics from world-leading cartoonists, pop art by famous artists like Picasso and Warhol, and the world's only Stig-Helmer museum.
