Åbergs Museum

Åbergs Museum is located in Bålsta, a short distance outside Stockholm and is a destination for the whole family. The museum, founded by Lasse Åberg, opened to the public in 2002 and is housed in a stylish old 19th-century barn. Here you will find a fantastic collection of comic-inspired art and original comics, one of the world's foremost antique Disney collections, and an exhibition featuring props, photos, and costumes from the films about the awkward nerd Stig-Helmer. The museum is suitable for children of all ages and has play opportunities both indoors and outdoors. There is an art treasure hunt, a quiz in the art hall, and the Trazan cabin, which is popular with both adults and children. Outside the museum, there is a playground called “Banankontakt” inspired by Trazan and Banarne with a banana theme throughout. There are picnic tables outside the museum where you can enjoy your packed lunch.
