Årsta bibliotek

Årsta bibliotek is located in Årsta centrum, approximately ten minutes by bus 160 or tram from Gullmarsplan or Liljeholmen. If you travel by tram, get off at Valla Torg and walk about five minutes towards Årsta Torg. The library has an active friends association that organizes several events each season. We are a cashless library. You can pay by card or Swish. You can easily borrow from one of our two self-service machines. Reserved books are found in the adult section, next to the information desk. You need a library card to borrow and reserve books, which also gives you access to digital services. The card is free. We offer free WiFi and Eduroam. The library is adapted for people with disabilities, including a hearing loop and service dogs are welcome. We also offer "Boken kommer" service and help with Legimus. We have computers for internet use, as well as copiers, scanners, and printers. The library has a handicapped-accessible toilet with a changing table in the children's section. Study places and a quiet reading room are available upstairs in the adult section. Café Årstabo is in the same building. We subscribe to newspapers and magazines that can be read on site, and offer access to Pressreader, Artikelsök, and Retriever Mediearkivet. You can also study for your driving license with Trafiko and do genealogy research.
