Årstabergsparken

Årstabergsparken is a mountain park in the Liljeholmen district, stretching through Årstaberg and Årstadal. It offers activities for various ages, with its original natural landscape as the foundation. The park spans 16 hectares, characterized by steep slopes and a mountain plateau approximately 40 meters above sea level. It features an 11-meter high observation tower with extensive views over Södermalm and Liljeholmen. The Årstaberg forest provides ample shade, making it ideal for warm, sunny days. Park paths wind through Årstabergsparken, connecting its different sections, with many play opportunities along the way. The forest is central to most play, with many play structures and opportunities integrated into nature. The park also features several playgrounds: Rävskogen, Sjövikskröken (an activity area with a dog park and urban garden nearby, and a synthetic turf ball court on a nearby pump station roof), Kråkberget (for older children with a wooden tower and slides), and Blockriket (a natural playground with logs, stones, rest areas, and a play area for younger children including a water channel and climbing dragon). The park was inaugurated in 2018 as part of the development around Liljeholmen and Årstadal. It also features the sculpture ODE 707 by Ulla West. Dogs are welcome on leash, and there are several waste bins. Visitors are asked not to feed birds to prevent pests. Issues can be reported via the 'Tyck till' app.
