Hässelby villastads bibliotek

Hässelby Villastad's library opened its doors in Åkermyntan's center in 1978. Here you will find a larger study room, as well as three smaller study spaces that you can book on-site at the library. To get here, take the subway to Vällingby, then bus 518, 541, or 543 to the bus stop Åkermyntan. The library is well adapted for people with disabilities. We are a cashless library. You can pay with card or Swish. You can easily borrow books at one of our machines. One is located just to the left of the entrance, the other next to the information desk. Reserved books can be found in the reservation shelf next to the information desk, to the left in the room. If you have your own computer, tablet, or mobile phone, you can connect to our WiFi/wireless network. The network is unencrypted and all activity is logged. If you study or work at a college or university with eduroam, you can log into the network from the library. If you have difficulty reading printed books or have trouble getting to the library, we can help you in various ways. We have aids and literature specifically adapted for dyslexia or other reading difficulties. Our premises are also specially adapted for you with disabilities of various kinds. We have four computers that you can borrow to use the internet. Two of the computers can be borrowed for 30 minutes per day, and two can be borrowed for 15 minutes per day. The computers are located just to the right of the entrance. To search for books in our catalog, you use our computer located straight ahead a few meters into the room. Our printer is located a few meters into the room, diagonally to the left from the entrance. There you can also copy and scan. You can print and copy in black and white and color, in A4 and A3. At Hässelby Villastad's library, we have the following newspapers and magazines: Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Industri, Allt om Mat, Antik & Auktion, Femina, Hus & Hem, Icakuriren, Illustrerad Vetenskap, Burda, Allt om Trädgård, Retro. Our newspaper corner is located just to the left of the entrance. Study driving theory for free with Trafiko at the library! The library has equipment for genealogy research and literature on the subject. A handicapped-accessible toilet with a changing table is located at the far right of the room, seen from the entrance. We have a small study room with three places and a larger study room with four chairs, two armchairs, and a table. You will find the rooms in the farthest right corner of the premises, seen from the entrance. The rooms are booked on-site at the library. We strive to make the library a vibrant space for culture in various forms, including collaborating with Hässelby Vällingby's art club on exhibitions.
