Kista bibliotek

Kista Library is Stockholm's second largest library. The library is located in Kista Galleria and was inaugurated in 2014. We are a cashless library. You can pay with card or Swish. You can easily borrow books at one of our machines located in several places in the library. At the entrance above the escalator, there are two loan machines. Reserved books can be found on a shelf just behind the information desk. You need a library card to borrow and reserve books. In the apps Bibblix and Biblio, you can borrow e-books and audiobooks with your card. The library card also gives you access to digital services here on the website. The card is free. If you have your own computer, tablet, or mobile phone, you can connect to our WiFi/wireless network. The network is unencrypted and all activity is logged. If you have difficulty reading printed books or have trouble getting to the library, we can assist you in various ways. We have aids and literature specifically adapted for dyslexia or other reading difficulties. Our facilities are also specially adapted for individuals with various disabilities. In the computer zone outside the library, there are 10 computers where you can use the internet for up to 60 minutes per day. The computers are drop-in and no reservation is needed. We also have an internet computer at the information desk. To search for books, we have four computers: one in the children's section, one in the non-fiction section, and two near the information desk. The library's IT hosts can assist with simple computer matters, such as printing documents. The IT hosts are present in the library from 1 PM to 5 PM on weekdays and from 12 PM to 4 PM on weekends. We have two printers, one next to the information desk and one in the computer zone. In the printers, you can also copy and scan. You can print and copy in black and white and color, in A4 and A3. All our libraries subscribe to newspapers and magazines that you can read on-site in the library. Our newspapers and magazines are located straight ahead from the entrance. You can also read digital newspapers, magazines, and articles in Pressreader, Artikelsök, and Retriever Media Archive. Study driving theory for free with Trafiko at the library! Connect to the library's WiFi to access videos, driving questions, e-books, and audiobooks. The theory is available in Swedish, English, Persian, and Arabic. The library has equipment for genealogy research and literature on the subject. All bookable computers in the libraries have access to ArkivDigital and the National Archives. Restrooms are located in the mall near the restaurant square, a couple of minutes' walk from the library. The restrooms have changing rooms, nursing rooms, and are accessible for individuals with disabilities. Kista Library has 16 study rooms available for borrowing for studies and meetings. The rooms vary in size and accommodate from a maximum of two to a maximum of six people. You can find the size of the room when you make your booking. You can make one booking per day, for a maximum of four hours. You can have a maximum of two bookings in our booking system at the same time. Currently, we have the opportunity to display both physical and digital exhibitions. Contact us if you are interested in exhibiting. Contact us for a tour of the library.
