Långsjöparken
Långsjöparken is a themed playground located at Stambanevägen 108 in the Stuvsta-Snättringe district of Huddinge municipality. The playground was inaugurated in June 2018 and is situated in the green area directly east of Långsjön, which gave the park its name. Adjacent to the playground, there are grassy areas and a smaller football field. The playground is built around local historical themes and consists of several sub-areas. Both adults and children can enjoy a playful history lesson about some events and phenomena in the municipality. Signs provide information about the real historical background. For example, "The Corkscrew," "The Milestone," and a small stone arch bridge symbolize the Göta road that ran not far from here, and with a wooden villa under construction, the pioneers and entrepreneurs who shaped Stuvsta, Snättringe, and Huddinge are honored. There are various places for children to play store, like in Loffes grill or at the gas station. One of the main attractions is a derailed and half-sunken red locomotive that tells the story of the railway accident in Huddinge in 1908. The playground was designed by Lekplatsbolaget and Tema Markmiljö in collaboration with Huddinge municipality.
