Welcome to Luma Open Preschool in Hammarby Sjöstad. There is plenty of space in our large facility. The open preschool is a meeting place for the whole family with children in focus. Adults with children aged 0–5 years are welcome together, no pre-registration required. The open preschool gives children opportunities to explore and discover together with other children. You as an adult can receive support in your parenting role and the opportunity to meet other parents. An important part of our work is to convey a pedagogical approach based on knowledge of children's development and learning. This can happen through conversations and discussions, but also by showing practical examples of how you as an adult can act together with your child in various situations. We also offer various lectures and training. You will encounter an environment based on a "workshop thinking," where all materials are clearly presented and accessible for children to make active choices based on their own thoughts and wishes. You can draw, paint, bake with playdough, read stories, build, and play together. We also have singing, rhymes, and movement on the schedule every week. During spring and summer, we sometimes move our activities outside and also go on excursions together. The facility also has a toilet and changing table available for use. It is fine to have snacks or lunch at the open preschool. We have microwaves, high chairs, bibs, bowls, cups, and spoons available for use. We also offer coffee, tea, pastries, and sandwiches for sale. Here you pay with Swish. The entrance is at Luma Library, where there is also a stroller parking.
