During two evenings in the autumn break, we invite brave visitors to Gripsholm Castle. When darkness falls, in the pitch-black corridors and halls, the castle's legends await to scare you.... If you're really brave, take the ghost train to the castle... It is said that when darkness falls and twilight sets in, things start to move in the nooks and crannies of Gripsholm Castle, as if history comes to life. Perhaps those who have lived and worked here – and all those who are told about over the centuries – want to remind us and hope not to be forgotten. When the year is at its darkest, it is actually quite scary at Gripsholm Castle. It can feel as if evil tales and dark stories move in to play tricks and scare. But only a few days each year. Do you dare to come and see? Follow our shadowy 'caretakers' around our haunted castle. A walk that is just the right amount of cozy scary, as only a tour of a real castle at night can be. Take the train to Gripsholm Castle – it is said that it is haunted even there on these windy, rainy, and eerie autumn nights.
