Supertraditional Festival
Supertraditional Festival is coming to Skansen on September 12 – a new festival where the raw power of folk music meets contemporary innovative expressions, allowing tradition and experimentation to coexist. The world is ablaze as a wave of raw, beautiful, and highly relevant folk music sweeps through – in demonstrations, on club stages, and through collaborations between tradition bearers and today's most innovative artists. Now the record label Supertraditional and the organizer Luger are bringing part of that movement to Skansen, this powerful and peculiar place that bears traces of national romanticism while also being a vibrant cultural heritage. Featured artists include: The Tallest Man on Earth, Sara Parkman, Valkyrien Allstars, Shida Shahabi, One Leg One Eye, Clarissa Connelly, as well as Ale Möller, Lena Willemark, Kenneth Lien, Päivi Hirvonen, and Rostam Mirlashari. Supertraditional wants to say: We are creating the festival we have longed for in our city: a place where unruly, fun, dark, and powerful music can take center stage, rooted in a heritage that belongs to all of us to cherish and love!
