Tullgarns slott
Tullgarn near Trosa in Sörmland is one of our most popular royal excursion destinations and is located just under an hour's drive from Stockholm. Tullgarn Castle was the summer residence of Gustaf V and Queen Victoria. The castle park features linden trees and avenues, making it a delightful picnic spot. The current Tullgarn Castle was built in the 1720s and has been a royal pleasure palace since the 1770s when the state handed Tullgarn over to Duke Fredrik Adolf. Tullgarn is associated with King Gustaf V and Queen Victoria, who spent their summers here in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Admire the duke's furnishings, which belong to our country's finest. Rest for a moment in the courtyard and feel the freshness from the sea. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the castle café. Or unpack your picnic basket in the expansive apple orchard. Tullgarn is worth a visit.
