Krubbans lekplats

Welcome to Krubban's imaginative playground where play takes you on a journey through time. This whimsical playground is inspired by the history of the place. The Krubban block was built in the mid-1600s with Oxenstierna's mansion and a mill. Over the centuries, the site has had many uses and buildings, including a riding school, a rope-making building, and a gas station. The play equipment consists of period-typical house gables from the 1600s to today to create a time travel experience where visitors can start in the 1600s and play their way to the present. Here you will find climbing play, a slide, a play bus, a playhouse, a sandbox, and a carousel shaped like a large hand. The playground was completed in December 2019 and is a collaboration between the landowner, the National Property Board of Sweden, and the Östermalm district administration. The playground was created by AJ Landskap AB in collaboration with sculptor Johan Ferner Ström and artist Tor Svae.
