Öppna förskolan Pippi för barn med funktionsnedsättning

Pippi is a safe and welcoming meeting place for children with disabilities. You as a parent or another important adult are welcome to Pippi with your child. Siblings are also welcome. The visit is free of charge, and no prior registration is required. Our open preschool offers a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years, with special consideration for individual needs. You are welcome to Pippi even if the child attends preschool. Here, children and adults together have the opportunity to participate in singing sessions with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), play, and explore pedagogically adapted materials based on the child's interests and conditions. We have experience and understanding of differences and strive to create an inclusive community. As a visitor, you have the opportunity to meet other families with similar everyday lives and exchange experiences in a supportive environment. We invite representatives from various organizations and interest groups aimed at families with children with disabilities. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions to, for example, LSS caseworkers (LSS – the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities), health care personnel, and other actors – in a safe environment where no information is recorded. Our premises are bright, spacious, and located on the ground floor with direct access to a fenced yard. The indoor environment is pedagogically designed with materials that stimulate play, exploration, and social interaction, adapted to the children's needs and developmental levels. In our premises, there is a simple kitchen equipped with a microwave and kettle, where you can heat your own food. For meals, there is access to: dining tables, high chairs, bibs, cutlery, and dishes.
