The Viking Museum
The Viking Museum is an experience museum located on Djurgården in Stockholm, where history, myth, and archaeology meet in a lively and interactive environment. It offers a nuanced and historically accurate picture of the Viking Age, showcasing stories of the women, children, and men who lived in Scandinavia, as well as the daring seafarers who traveled through Europe for plunder and trade. The museum features archaeological finds, historically reconstructed environments, and in-depth stations. Visitors can explore the museum with an audioguide or join daily guided tours in Swedish and English. A highlight is the adventure ride, Ragnfrids Saga, an 11-minute dramatized journey through 10th-century Europe, recommended for ages 7 and up.
