Pygméteatern

Since 1976, Pygmétéatern has worked with puppet theater and has been a pioneer in modern shadow theater in Sweden. They mostly tell stories for children about horrors and wonders, and about the difficulties of growing up as a human. Sometimes poetically, sometimes drastically, but always with warmth and often with humor. Their form language is a combination of pure acting roles, puppets, shadows, masks, and music. Together with clever stage design, lighting, and music, this becomes professional children's theater of a class that has been loved by children all over the world and has won countless awards at international festivals. When they are not performing at their own theater at Odenplan in Stockholm, they tour all over Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
